Scholarship eligibility requirements:

  • Eligible Countries: All countries
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is open to students of any major at participating partner institutions.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be enrolled at one of the participating partner institutions at the time of application and nomination.
  • U.S. or international students are eligible.
  • Students of any age, any major, or any year in school are eligible, including seniors who plan to complete their projects in the summer after graduation.
  • Projects may be implemented alone or with others.
  • The project may take place anywhere in the world.

Scholarship Application Guidelines:

Partner institutions design an application and selection process suitable for their students. However, proposal formatting and submission instructions must be followed. Student applicants should contact the Projects for Peace campus liaison at their college or university to learn about institution-specific requirements and deadlines. Application

A Projects for Peace proposal has two parts: a narrative and a budget spreadsheet.

Campus liaisons should work with the applicant to ensure the submitted materials conform with guidance.

Materials not conforming to guidelines will be returned for revision, which may result in missed deadlines.

Proposal Narrative:

  • Keep in mind that successful proposals may be made publically available on the Projects for Peace website. Therefore, submitted proposals should not include content considered to be sensitive or private.
  • The ideal length of the proposal is two pages; it must not exceed three pages.
