SCHOLARSHIP: DLA Piper Global, UK International Scholarship for Undergraduate | Postgraduate | Masters Students
The DLA Piper Global Scholarship is a two-year programme that supports talented law students (Fellows) from developing countries to reach their potential and contribute to the rule of law in their communities.
Each year DLA Piper Global Scholarship sponsors up to 50 students, called Fellows, based throughout Africa, South and West Asia, the South Pacific, and Latin America. Currently we have 50 Fellows from 14 countries.

DLA Piper is a law firm with offices in over 40 countries across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
It was founded in 2005 through the merger between three law firms: San Diego–based Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP, Baltimore-based Piper Rudnick LLP and United Kingdom–based DLA LLP. DLA Piper is now composed of multiple partnerships operating under a shared global network in a organizational structure known as a Swiss Verein.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:
To be considered for the DLA Piper Law Scholarship, you must:
- Be studying law, and in your last to second last year of study in your home country, or
- Have completed a Law degree and have been accepted to pursue a Master’s Degree in a related field in your home country
- Currently be achieving, or be expected to achieve a first-class degree, or be in the top 10% of your class
- Receive a recommendation from your university
- Be a citizen of the country you are applying from
- Have a good level of spoken and written English as this will ensure you are able to fully participate in the programme.

- Please note, as part of your application you will need to upload the following documents (as a Microsoft word document or PDF) to support your application:
- Your university academic transcript (evidence of the grades you have achieved at university).
- A letter of recommendation from your university (from one of your teachers, Heads of Department of Dean of the Law School).
- You will also need to send us a video of yourself, not exceeding 2 minutes, telling us about yourself and why you chose to study law.

The DLA Piper Global Scholarship benefits include;
