SCHOLARSHIP: The University of Michigan-Dearborn, USA International Scholarship for Undergraduate Students
To prepare students to pursue higher education internationally despite the complex financial challenges that they face, the University of Michigan–Dearborn has decided to award students the International Undergraduate Scholarships.
About university:
The University of Michigan–Dearborn (UM-Dearborn) is a public university in Dearborn, Michigan. Founded in 1959 with a gift from the Ford Motor Company, it was initially known as the Dearborn Center, operating as a remote branch of the University of Michigan. The branch gradually developed into a fully-fledged university over the years. Upon receiving its own accreditation in 1970, the university changed its name to the University of Michigan–Dearborn, while still adhering to the policies of the University of Michigan Board of Regents.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:
To be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- Be an international student that holds a valid visa
- Have a GPA of 3.0 and meet the country-specific requirements.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn to renew the scholarship.
- Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn.
Scholarship Application Guidelines:
To apply for the scholarship, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- official high school academic documents.
- scores of any of the following English language proficiency tests:
- IELTS – 6.5
- TOEFL IBT – 80
- TOEFL CBT – 213
- TOEFL PBT – 550
To apply for the University of Michigan-Dearborn Undergraduate Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should follow the steps below;
- The applicants are required to apply for admission via the online application portal of the university or the Common Application.
- All eligible international students will be considered.
- GPA, at the time of admission, is used in determining scholarship eligibility.
- All scholarships are subject to review for renewal at the end of each academic year.
- All recipients must meet requirements of satisfactory academic progress and maintain a cumulative grade point average as articulated in their Terms and Conditions Form at the time of accepting the university scholarship online.
Scholarship Benefits:
- The International Undergraduate Scholarship awards an annual scholarship of $12,500.
- It totals an amount of $50,000 over a period of 4 years.
