SCHOLARSHIP: University of East Anglia David Sainsbury, UK International Scholarship for Postgraduate |Masters Students
The 2025 University of East Anglia David Sainsbury Scholarship is an opportunity initiated by the David Sainsbury Laboratory for a one-year full-funded MSc scholarship at the University of East Anglia.
This one-year course is a mixture of five taught modules and a 5-month research project. These compulsory elements are exclusive to this course.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a public research university in Norwich, England. Established in 1963 on a 360-acre (150-hectare) campus west of the city centre, the university has four faculties and twenty-six schools of study. It is one of five BBSRC funded research campuses with forty businesses,[12] four independent research institutes (John Innes Centre, Quadram Institute, Earlham Institute and The Sainsbury Laboratory) and a teaching hospital (Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital) on site.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:
To be considered for the David Sainsbury Scholarship UEA 2025, you must meet all these criteria:
- Be in receipt of an offer of a place on the UEA MSc in Global Plant Health
- Not be national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, version 2024-25 for entry in 2025-26 academic year.
- There are a limited number of scholarships available and these will be awarded throughout the year, so you are advised to apply early.

- Research results: Published thesis, award certificates, etc. to prove your academic achievements and research capabilities.

- Photocopy of Passport Photo Page/ National ID
- English proficiency certificate

Scholarship Benefits:
Each full scholarship will cover up to:
- the full cost of the tuition fee (£35,450 international fee for 2025-26)
- maintenance grant (exact value at the UKRI postgraduate researcher stipend level to be determined for 2025-26; in 2024-23 it was £19,237)
- an additional £4,000 for travel costs (subject to valid economy class travel receipts)
