Scholarship eligibility requirements:
To be considered for the University of Alberta Churchill Scholarship, the requirements are as follows:
- Be a graduate of the University of Alberta entering Ph.D. studies at Cambridge University. OR
- Be completing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering at the University of Alberta.
- Graduates with one or two years of experience will also be considered.

Eligible Programmes for Churchill Scholarship 2026
Cambridge University offers a broad range of research areas and facilities in engineering. The main Cambridge University Engineering Department has six research divisions:
- Aerodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, Acoustics, Turbo machinery
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanics and materials
- Geotechnical and Structures
- Manufacturing and management
- Information engineering (control, communications and computing)
- And a separate Chemical Engineering Department
Scholarship Benefits:
- The Churchill Cambridge Scholarship, worth $64,000/yr.
- The successful applicant will enter Churchill College at Cambridge University, a college that houses a concentration of engineering and science graduate students.
- The Churchill Cambridge Scholarship is normally renewed for a second and third year of study, subject to suitable progress.
