The University of Wyoming in the United States is welcoming applications for a fully funded master’s scholarship program.

About university:

The University of Wyoming is a public land-grant research university in Laramie, Wyoming, United States. It was founded in March 1886, four years before the territory was admitted as the 44th state, and opened in September 1887. The University of Wyoming’s location is written into the state’s constitution.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

To be considered for the University of Wyoming Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets with R statistical software 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

Additional Desired Qualifications

  • Experience processing and/or analyzing LiDAR datasets
  • Experience with deep learning and/or machine learning approaches
  • Experience conducting field work in remote settings
  • Experience writing and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts

Scholarship Benefits:

  • This research assistantship is fully funded through the Wyoming Water Research Program and represents a collaboration between the Wyoming Geographic Information Science Center and Wyoming Forest Resilience Initiative.
  • The student will receive a tuition waiver, health insurance, and annual stipend ($23,000 /yr). The start date is August 2026 and expected graduation is May 2028.
