University of San Diego (USD) all summer research students scholarship, whether receiving a stipend or volunteering, whether full-time or part-time, whether a USD student or non-USD student, whether undergraduate or graduate, are required to register as Summer Research Scholars.

Scholarship deadline:
Part 1 is a simple registration which should only take students about 5 minutes to complete. Recommended deadline: May 2, 2025 at 11:59 pm
Part 2 requires students to complete trainings and forms which will be uploaded directly to the registration form. You do not need to complete these trainings again if you have already done so. You are still required to complete Part 2 of research scholar registration, however. Deadline: May 30, 2025 at 11:59 pm

Scholarship eligibility requirements:
- Eligible Countries: Open to students of all nationalities
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship is open to research activities in any subject offered by the university.
- Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must register as a Summer Research Scholar (Part 1 and Part 2 of the registration).
- Open to USD and non-USD students (undergraduate, graduate, or high school students).
- Must be participating in research as one of the following:
- AnchorSTEM Scholars
- Beckman Scholars
- STARBURST Scholars
- McNair Scholars
- Scholarship-supported research students
- Researchers on a faculty member’s grant
- Students pursuing an independent project with faculty guidance
- External students conducting research with USD faculty
- High school students conducting research with USD faculty
- Completion of Responsible Conduct in Research/Research Ethics Training.
Scholarship Application Guidelines:
- Complete Part 1 of Research Scholar Registration: A simple online form (deadline: May 2, 2025).
- Complete Part 2 of Research Scholar Registration: Submit required training certificates and forms directly in the registration portal (deadline: May 30, 2025).
- Ensure compliance with mandatory Responsible Conduct in Research/Research Ethics Training.
