Graduate students choose to specialize in one of the seven technical areas:

  • Construction Engineering and Project Management (CEPM)
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Material Engineering
  • Structure Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering
  • Water Resources Engineering

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

To be considered for the University of Kentucky Scholarship, you must:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Meet the university’s English Language proficiency requirements

Master of Science in Civil Engineering Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 30 credit hours
  • Available with thesis and non-thesis options.

Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 18 course credits beyond a master’s degree and successful completion and defense of a dissertation.

To apply for the University of Kentucky Graduate Scholarship, interested and qualified applicants should;
