The University of Kent has officially announced its participation in the Chevening Scholarship 2026 program, opening the doors for ambitious international students to pursue a fully funded postgraduate degree in the UK.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:
To be considered for the Chevening Scholarship 2026 in UK , you must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country
- Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your scholarship has ended
- Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a one year postgraduate programme at Kent. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree, but varies depending on the course. Please visit our course pages for our entry requirements. You can also look at our country specific criteria.
- Have at least two years’ work experience
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by 09 July 2026.
- Chevening Scholars must be based in the UK.

To apply for the University of Kent Chevening Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;

- All applicants who wish to be considered for an award at Kent are encouraged to select the university as their first preference within their Chevening application.
- Applications for 2026/2027 Chevening Scholarships are open between 12:00 BST on 5 August 2025 and close at 12:00 GMT on 7 October 2025.
Scholarship Benefits:
The Chevening Scholarship includes;
- a full tuition fee waiver,
- a monthly stipend,
- travel costs to and from the UK,
- the cost of a visa application as well as a
- travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK.
