The University of Florida Graduate Scholarship is annually offered to international students willing to pursue graduate studies in the United States of America.

The University of Florida is a public land-grant research university in Gainesville, Florida. It is a senior member of the State University System of Florida. The university traces its origins to 1853 and has operated continuously on its Gainesville campus since September 1906.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

To be considered for the University of Florida Scholarship 2026, you must;

  • have an undergraduate degree in fisheries, wildlife ecology, quantitative fields, natural resources, or a related field (required).
  • have an MS degree in fisheries, natural resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • have experience with scientific research and an interest in quantitative fisheries research (required)
  • Demonstrated experience with quantitative fisheries work is strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience using models (e.g., GLMs, assessment, simulation, etc.) in R or a similar platform, and be interesting quantitative approaches to understand and improve fisheries management.
