SCHOLARSHIP:  University of Aberdeen, UK International Scholarship for Postgraduate|Masters Students

The University of Aberdeen is delighted to offer the Aberdeen Global Scholarship to international students starting in September 2024 or January 2025. This a tuition fee discount opportunity open to eligible self-funded taught Masters students who are classed as international fee status and domiciled in one of the countries listed below.

Note that this scholarship is not available to students studying PGDE degrees.

The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was founded in 1495 when William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen and Chancellor of Scotland, petitioned Pope Alexander VI on behalf of James IV, King of Scots to establish King’s College, making it one of Scotland’s four ancient universities and the fifth-oldest university in the English-speaking world. Along with the universities of St Andrews, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, the university was part of the Scottish Enlightenment during the 18th century.

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • Have obtained an unconditional offer from the university 
  • Be International students from any African country.

  • You will be awarded your scholarships as tuition fee discount and the value of the scholarship will be included in your CAS letter.
  • Please check that you have firmly accepted an unconditional offer and that you have sent us confirmation of funding.
  • Please note, you do not need to apply for this scholarship, all eligible students will receive the scholarship as a fee discount.
  • There is no deadline as no application is required for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits:

This £8,000 scholarship towards your tuition fee is available to eligible self-funded postgraduate taught (PGT) students who are classed as international fee status and domiciled in any of the countries on the African continent.
