The University of Arkansas Monticello Scholarship is a fully funded Graduate Research Assistantship position in the field of Forest Resources, with an emphasis in Wildlife Management.

The research projects are adminsitered by the Snowden Waterfowl Center of Excellence housed within the College of Forestry, Agriculture & Natural Resources at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, in southeastern Arkansas.

Scholarship eligibility requirements:

To be considered for the University of Arkansas Scholarship, you must:

  • have a 2.7 overall undergraduate GPA or 3.0 GPA in the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate courses. Also required a B.S. degree in geospatial sciences, geography, wildlife management/conservation, zoology, or related field,
  • have experience with GIS, remote sensing, data science, landscape ecology, and waterfowl (preferred).
  • have a valid U.S. driver’s license or obtain the same within 60 days of starting employment.
  • Overnight travel and fall/winter field work are required, as well as the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
