Do you qualify for a Fulbright Scholarship?
The Fulbright scholarship is given to students pursuing various degrees. So please go through this eligibility checklist to see if you are eligible to apply for this competition.
1 Course Eligibility Check: The interested applicant must review the information provided on the universities’ websites that require a specific degree, either a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree.
Eligible candidates for the Master’s degree program will have a four-year Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s and Master’s combination totaling 16 years of formal education from an accredited university. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply, with the exception of MBA and Public Policy/Administration applicants, who must have two years of experience.
Eligible applicants for the Ph.D. degree program will have a Master’s, M.Phil., or comparable degree (a minimum of 18 years of formal education) from an accredited university. Candidates with experience in teaching, research, or the public sector university are highly preferred.
Except for clinical medicine, all academic disciplines are eligible for both the Master’s and Ph.D. programs. All applicants must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE General). Minimum scores of 138 in the verbal section and 136 in the quantitative section are required under the new scoring system. Applicants must also be highly fluent in both spoken and written English. All selected candidates will be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
2 English Language Proficiency Test: English is generally accepted for teaching-related programs. However, the type of project is the primary determinant of this requirement, and thus a strong command of foreign languages may be required.
